Justice Ministry/Rodef Tzedek Network

The best way to get involved in the work of BREAD is through your congregation. If your congregation is not a member of the organization and you want them to join, talk with your clergy person or call the BREAD office (614-220-9363). If you want to join a congregation that is already a part of the organization, check out the congregation tab above to see a list of our member congregations.
The best way to get involved in a member church, synagogue or mosque is through the network or team (see below).

Justice Ministry/Rodef Tzedek Network
The primary way in which people get involved in the work of BREAD is through the Justice Ministry or Rodef Tzedek Network in their congregations. BREAD member congregations are accepting the challenge of working towards turning out their average worship attendance to the once-a-year Nehemiah Action Meeting (May 6, 2013). The network members commit to bring three people with them to the Nehemiah Action and attend two other meetings a year (Annual Assembly-November 12, 2013 and Rally-April 8, 2013). See the Calendar tab for the upcoming meeting dates. Network members are also strongly encouraged to attend the Nehemiah Action Celebration/Investment Drive Kick-off (July 8, 2013) and one of the house meetings. Some network members serve on research/action committees that help move the organization from studying a community problem to developing a winning campaign to address the problem.

Justice Ministry/Rodef Tzedek Team
The people who work to build these networks in their congregations. Each team member serves as part of their congregational justice network and recruits 5-10 other network members. Team members will follow-up with network members throughout the year to keep them informed and remind or invite them to upcoming meetings and events. Additionally, many team members get involved by serving on one of the research/action committees.
